Green steel, smart materials, and new working environments were at the center of an exchange between the Presidents of the Chambers of Labour of Upper Austria and Styria, Andreas Stangl and Josef Pesserl, and the UAR Innovation Network in Leoben.
At MCL, we provided insights during a lab tour into tomorrow’s material innovations, ranging from data-driven development to sustainable solutions across the entire value chain.
The visit also included stops at voestalpine Stahl Donawitz, K1-MET, and PCCL.
One key takeaway: cutting-edge research is a central driver of industrial transformation.

Das MCL im Dialog mit der Arbeiterkammer
Grüner Stahl, smarte Materialien und neue Arbeitswelten standen im Fokus des Austauschs zwischen den AK-Präsidenten Oberösterreich und Steiermark, Andreas Stangl und Josef Pesserl, und dem UAR Innovation Network in Leoben.
Am MCL gaben wir im Rahmen einer Labortour Einblicke in die Materialinnovationen von morgen, von datengetriebener Entwicklung bis hin zu nachhaltigen Lösungen entlang der gesamten Wertschöpfungskette.
Weitere Stationen der Tour waren voestalpine Stahl Donawitz, K1-MET und das PCCL.
Klar wurde dabei: Spitzenforschung ist ein zentraler Treiber für die industrielle Transformation.
