From October 15 - 19, 2023, the 93rd IUVSTA Workshop covering the topic “Advances in the Characterization of Surface Engineering Structures, Coatings and Thin Films” took place in Seggau, Austria. The aim of the event was to address significant advances in characterization techniques for nanostructure, composition and properties of surface engineering structures, coatings and thin films. Bernhard Sartory, our Laboratory Manager Scanning Electron Microscopy at MCL, was one of the invited speakers and talked about the characterization and residual stress measurements with the help of electron microscopy using different microscopes and modules.

Vom 15. bis 19. Oktober 2023 fand in Seggau der 93. IUVSTA-Workshop zum Thema "Advances in the Characterization of Surface Engineering Structures, Coatings and Thin Films" statt. Ziel der Veranstaltung war es, bedeutende Fortschritte bei der Charakterisierung von Nanostrukturen, die Zusammensetzung und Eigenschaften von oberflächentechnischen Strukturen, Beschichtungen und Dünnschichten zu diskutieren. Bernhard Sartory, unser Laborleiter für Rasterelektronenmikroskopie am MCL, war einer der eingeladenen Vortragenden und sprach über „Characterization and residual stress measurements with the help of electron microscopy using different microscopes and modules“.
