As part of the European Chips Act, an Austrian competence center for semiconductor technology is being established in Graz. The “AT-C3”, located at the @Silicon Alps Cluster, is being funded with 8 million euros - half from the EU and half from the federal government. Renowned research institutions such as AIT, Silicon Austria Labs, Graz University of Technology, PCCL Leoben and also MCL form the founding consortium. The aim is to make Austria's contribution to strengthening the European semiconductor industry and security of supply.

MCL ist Teil eines Gründerkonsortiums für europäische Chip-Innovationen
Im Zuge des European Chips Act entsteht in Graz ein österreichisches Kompetenzzentrum für Halbleitertechnologie. Das "AT-C3", angesiedelt beim @Silicon Alps Cluster, wird mit 8 Millionen Euro gefördert - je zur Hälfte von EU und Bund. Namhafte Forschungseinrichtungen wie AIT, Silicon Austria Labs, TU Graz, PCCL Leoben und auch das MCL bilden das Gründungskonsortium. Ziel ist es, Österreichs Beitrag zur Stärkung der europäischen Halbleiterindustrie und Versorgungssicherheit zu leisten.
