We are very happy to announce that the set-up of our new "3D SEM" (CrossBeam 550 made by ZEISS Microscopy) has been completed and it is ready to be operated.
With the help of the new 3D SEM, we are now able to detect and measure trace elements down to a concentration of 5ppm. It is therefore an optimal tool to better characterize, for example, lithium in battery materials. The device’s mass spectroscopy also allows isotope distribution measurements and the identification of compounds.

Aufbau des neuen 3D-REM ist fertig!
Wir freuen uns sehr, dass das neue „3D-REM“ (CrossBeam 550 made by ZEISS Microscopy) fertig aufgebaut und einsatzbereit ist!
Mit dem 3D-REM ist es am MCL nun möglich, Spurenelemente bis zu einer Konzentration von 5ppm nachzuweisen und zu vermessen. Es ist somit ein optimales Werkzeug um zum Beispiel Lithium in Batteriewerkstoffen besser charakterisieren zu können. Die Massenspektroskopie des Geräts ermöglicht auch eine Isotopenverteilungsmessung und das Identifizieren von Verbindungen.
